Thomas J. Marlay is counsel to Andrews Robichaud, where his practice focuses on private equity and venture capital transactions, commercial leasing, technology licensing, procurement, employment contracts, and purchase and sale of businesses. He also advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including incorporations, shareholder agreements and franchising.

Tom has a background with national law firms and as in-house corporate counsel with the federal Department of Justice and an Ottawa high-tech firm. In 2001, as Vice President and General Counsel for one of Ottawa’s most dynamic enterprise software companies, Tom executed the then-largest venture capital financing in Ottawa’s history, and went on to establish a boutique law firm serving Ottawa’s high-tech sector. This experience is especially useful for innovative start-up companies in a variety of business sectors.
